Jack Harmon, our Marketplace Supervisor, wasn’t just born into the V. Sattui family – he was carried into it while still in the womb when his mother was a top salesperson in the V. Sattui tasting room in the 80’s and 90’s.
He grew up in Shaver Lake, spending summers hiking, camping, and fishing, and winters skiing and building snow forts. When visiting V. Sattui as a child, Jack would explore the winery grounds and get as many samples as possible from cheesemonger Keith (his manager today). A move to Alabama took him away from the winery for several years, but California’s call was irresistible, and at 18, he came back to V. Sattui.
As a self-described “goofy kid” starting out in the deli, Jack’s outgoing nature, curiosity, kindness, and sense of humor served him well. Today, he oversees wine and food pairings and is the winery’s second-in-command when it comes to cheese-mongering, a testament to his dedication to continuous learning.
Family is at Jack’s core, and he most loves spending time with his wife Cheyanne and young daughter, Ava. Free time involves family movies, beach walks, hikes, traveling with family, snorkeling (when possible), and exploring new food and wine to enjoy. He is also a huge cat lover!
Jack believes in the power of simple conversations, exceptional food and wine, and the lasting impact they can have on others. For him, V. Sattui is more than just a job; it’s a historic place to connect with people, make a difference, and be part of something special.
As he puts it, “Sattui is everything to me. I have been here since I was 18 and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. V. Sattui has allowed me to grow and follow my dreams and taught me that I can do anything I put my mind to.” His love for creating memorable experiences and forging connections with people shines through everything he does.
